Research Professor Merja Penttilä and Research Team Leader Jussi Jäntti from VTT will present several case studies and discuss the benefits of biological routes, valorization of waste streams, from cell design to piloting and prospects of biointelligent manufacturing
Examples include raw materials such as pectin and organosolv-treated lignocellulose. We will also discuss the opportunities and challenges of different raw materials and how these were overcome using biology.
